Established in 1996, HEAVEN began its work in Daringbadi Block of Kandhamal District focusing on water and environmental sanitation. Since then HEAVEN has extended its operations to four tribal dominated districts Kandhamala, Ganjam, Nayagarh & Puri of Orissa and its community-based initiatives have included:
Livelihood and income generation
Vocational training
Water and environmental sanitation
Education
Health improvement and malaria eradication
HIV/AIDS & SRH awareness
Universal birth registration
Participation in self- governance
