The Salem District People Services Society is a registered organisation under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 formed on 15th January 2002 originally as “Salem District SC / ST People Services Society” to serve the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes residing in the Salem District and to promote the welfare measures in the rural areas.
OBJECTIVES:
* Empowerment of marginalized and disadvantaged groups and strengthening efforts to build self-reliance and to bring them to the mainstream of society.
* To promote the development of children, women, disabled persons and backward communities and concern to environment protection
* To promote their participation in education, healthcare and economic activities.
* To promote awareness and education for the target communities.
