Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Ahmedabad is an autonomous and not for profit organization, established in the year 1983. The institute has 25 years of rich experience in training of different target groups like students, producers, college/university faculties, NGO and Govt. functionaries etc and therefore it has developed different training packages (modules and materials) for each kind of target groups.
In order to move in the same direction EDI Northern Regional Office Lucknow is starting a new part time certificate programme in Social sector development (SSD) for those who are already working in organization and willing to get professional education.
The course aims at Capacity building for individuals with a keen inclination towards social development and with inkling to develop skills, knowledge and capabilities in the area, i.e. those who wish to develop themselves as a professional dedicated towards the social development agenda.
In this course we are focusing on six papers as Fundamentals of Development, Communication, Micro Finance and Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Computer Applications & Accounting System and Development Scenario. But as per the need analysis our major thrust area would be Communication and Project Management for which we will spend around 60% of the course curriculum.
The course is designed to trained the social catalyst those having experience in NGO sector but don’t have any professional degree/diploma.
The course will run at Lucknow Office during the weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
