Sub: Training course to Voluntary Organizations on “ NGO Finance Management ” at Bala Vikasa People Development Training Centre, from 9 – 11th August, 2010.

Greetings from Bala Vikasa – Warangal, A.P.

We are pleased to announce that on the request of NGOs we are organizing a Three-Day training program on “Finance Management” from 9-11th August, 2010.

Course Objective:
1. To give analytical skills to the participants on Financial Management
2. To make the participants aware of legal compliances.

Course Content:
- Introduction to financial management of not for profit organizations
- Basic functions of Financial Management
- Activity based, results based and input based budget planning
- Organising financial resources
- Financial Monitoring of field based, knowledge based, community based and thematic
programs
- Internal control as applicable for Not for profit organizations
- Audit procedures, accounting policies and financial management guidelines
- Fund Based accounting of not for profit organizations
- Legal compliance with FC(R)Act, Income Tax Act and other relevant laws.
- Updating changes to Income Tax Act, 1961 and Tax Code
- Long term financial planning and how to realize the financial sustainability

Course Language:
English

Training Methodology:
The emphasis would be on participatory learning methods. The training will be imparted through lecture-cum-discussion, simulation exercises, demonstration, brain storming exercises, group discussion as well as audiovisual films.

Award of Certificate:
The participants will be awarded a certificate of participation on conclusion of the course

Other details:
Number of seats: The maximum intake for the training program is only 25.
Course Fee: Rs.1500/ (includes registration Fee).
Sponsorship:
To encourage the participation of NGOs from India in capacity building programs, Bala Vikasa PDTC provides boarding and lodging (food and accommodation - Non A/C rooms on shared basis) within the premises of PDTC,at its own cost.

Travel:
Actual travel expenses incurred by the participants (second class fare only), subject to a ceiling of Rs. 600/- (Rupees Six hunderd only) will be reimbursed on submission of original tickets.

Registration Fee: The participants need to pay Rs.500 in advance towards Registration fee (which is non-refundable) after their confirmation of participation.

The Registration fee has to be sent by DD drawn in favor of “Bala Vikasa People Development Training Center”, Warangal, by courier/post. Details of dispatched DD should be intimated to BV PDTC through e-mail.

Nomination Form : Please find attached nomination form to be filled and send to Bala Vikasa by 1st August, 2010. You can also download from our website www.balavikasa.org.
